The atmosphere was great, gave you the feeling of being in an actual English pub!  The staff were friendly, happy and helpful!  Cannot fault the food, it was delicious!  I can honestly recommend The Ploughman without hesitation!  Do yourself a favour!

Nice atmosphere and staff were friendly, but some of the food was disappointing.  My meal option of chicken salad comprised pressed chicken (sausage meat) and the bacon was limp.  The other meal of venison pie (which was delicious) was let down with chunky frozen veggies.  Staff dealt with the return of salad professionally and were prompt with a replacement meal.

Visited on St Patrick&apos;s day.  Picked as they advertised an Irish music string ensemble  and  "drinks deals and food specials running all night",  The food and drinks deals turned out Not to be the case.  Staff were unaware of this, and when they checked with the manager it was a special on a cocktail drink and pizza - hardly what was advertised and somewhat misleading.  That aside the food was good, at reasonable price, the two waiting staff apparently were fill ins but did a good job and were accommodating and friendly.  But for the misleading advertising we would have given 4 stars.

Yes, this spot is definitely good for a great night out. There were 18 of us in all. Dinner was a farewell ‘do’ for us as we return to the UK in a few days. The service from two very young girls was superb. Somehow the kitchen staff …..the unseen faces of a successful eatery managed to produce all the various very tasty meals at the same time. The bar staff were pretty on the ball too. 

A good time had by all.

Waitress was nice and accommodated a last minute table for us but sorry to say the food here is horrible. First when my daughters food was given to her it had regular fries but the menu stated curly fries. When we asked waitress she said they don’t have curly fries currently but would have been nice to know this up front before ordering. Perhaps rather than bringing out the wrong type of chips you should communicate with your clientele up front because my daughter is fussy and doesn’t eat regular fries. The pork ribs were way over seasoned (I think it was hoisin sauce that it had and way too much of it making it very salty). The venison pie wasn’t nice at all I felt like I was eating a pie from a petrol station. We decided not to risk getting dessert after the food was so bad so ended up just paying the bill and decided to go to Dixie browns to get dessert. The icing on the horrible cake was when we went to pay there was a 15% surcharge for being a public holiday (this also was not communicated to us by the staff my wife asked for a receipt when she noticed it was overpriced and saw the surcharge on the receipt). Neither my wife or I could recall seeing any signage stating there would be a 15% surcharge today so if there was one then it was either hidden or not very noticeable. The food is already extremely overpriced for the quality and paying another 15% for a disappointing meal just makes it even worse.
